I presume the lineup is gonna be foo's,black keys one day and coldplay the next?

would be interested if it is the black keys and foos on the same day tbh

boucher is a soul destroying place.

0 |

fuck me its a dump of a place

0 |

afaik they are bringing funderland round early just to maximise the type of scum who will attend.

0 |

Boucher? where they have planet fun?

0 |

Boucher Road is a disaster of a place to hold something like that. I would go and see black keys like.

0 |

Thought it might have been down the titanic quarter

0 |

0 |

ooh blank reply. shine board replication fail.

anyway, any time im on the boucher i dispair for Belfast as a plcae and want to book the first flight out of there. Titanic Qtr isnt much better.

Will there be people outside asking if you can say the "our father" or the sash?

0 |

Boucher is the perfect place for big outdoor events in the sense that its not a residential area, its practical as its got good access and close to motorway etc and its as close as matters Belfast City Centre. Traffic will be horrendous though so bus or dander would be the order of the day im sure. Is there the possibility of later license as its industrial area? In any case the venue isn't the main worry surely the acts are the main focus?

0 |

excellant news that its in boucher, steaming in the felons all day, dander down to it, mcdonalds on the way home yeoo, just hoping for some foo fighters now

PM Maritime Law re: Industrial Area Licencing

0 |

I'm sure the local uda will be demanding few quid

0 |

tbf even though it was in bangoria last year, ward park is actually quite a nice place for an outdoor show.

boucher is a grim piece of industrial wasteland. if it does have one advantage it acts as a barrier from village residents escaping.

0 |

Don't think the UDA have much swing on that end of Boucher. The end with the playing fields is like a box of Sunny Jims for the ra.

afterparty in @quest in the warehouse with louis irvine

Maritime Law re: Industrial Area Licencing

World class posting by rubick there. This board gets better every day

0 |

Oul maritime law. Who was it dropped that gem?

0 |

If you're within spitting distance of a dry dock, you can open a pub all night.

0 |

Titanic quarter is a good spot for stuff like this. Right beside the motorway, hotels nearby and theres at least a bit of a decent back drop in the cranes, beside the water etc

0 |

wouldnt say it would be smart to hold a major festival beside a river in light of what has happened recently

0 |

True

The MTV thing is down there though isnt it?

0 |

yeah the mtv thing is down there, not sure how big it is though, although i cant see olly murs pulling in a wild crowd

0 |

yeah, because no one has ever drowned in a river before the recent plank fail?

0 |

well yeah obviously people have drowned in a river before that, but having thousands of drunken idiots congregating in one place beside a river means something is bound to happen

0 |

thats was the 1st one afaik

DISASTER AS PLANK BRIDGE COLLAPSES, NATION'S IQ INCREASES TENFOLD

0 |

I believe the Blackstaff River runs underneath the M1, which is perilously close to Boucher Road. Tbh, this is just a disaster waiting to happen.

0 |

0 |

the bigger disaster waiting to happen is the destruction of the surrounding car showrooms

0 |

This news just in. The village has been raised to the ground causing literally 10's of pounds worth of damage*.

measured in 10 deals.

0 |

Gotta love the village. My favourite piece of troubles graffiti was their work, row of derelict houses at the bottom of Boucher, some painted UFF on the roof of them, backwards, presumably so it could be viewed from above.

0 |

Vital has always been held beside the river (when its been in Belfast) tbf. its just cos of ur man dying so recently, there would more than likely be a shit storm about it happening again

Bangor is by the sea.

Sea > River

0 |

Bangor > Belfast

actually LOL

LOL @ Bangor

0 |

The sea isn't that bad, at least it's obvious about it's wetness. It's these rivers you need to watch, winding through cities and what have ye. The sleekid bastards.

Unintentionally hilarious graffiti in the village, a few months back:
