It's a great spot you'll love it. Loads of class bars. I'm sure hooters will be sparked up

serious? my mate how lives in leamington spa, said it was a good spot, but i dreading it will be like cardiff which i found to be a bit of a whole, even though we seen craig richards on the friday night, and there got some great barndogs.

cider barge? bristol just gets better!!

I was in it last November and I liked it. It has all the usual shitty english chain bars but it does have Motion club and a Big Chill bar. Motion is set in a skate park / warehouse type thing and Big Chill is a bar with great listings on a Saturday night. I would go back again no problem

Have heard a number of people say it is a great spot. Mate said the local ales and ciders are good too and will have you steaming in double quick time

Amazing city. Was over for a weekend in March. Amazing dnb and dubstep scene. Fuck all the usual stag shite. Pop down to the fireworks shop on Glouchester road and load up on NOS then straight on to Lakota or Black Swan. Cheap decent quality mud over there too. Bristol ftw!

its fuck all like cardiff, try thekla, lakota, motion, mr wolfs. get urselfs up to stokes croft area for a look about. loads of decent smaller venues, for during the day drinking. Turbo island etc is up there. nice vibe about it.

a stag do can be a differnt kettle of fish when trying to accomodate everyones intrest. they all up for a mad one??

Bristol is a cracker spot - hit the cider barge and get into the lappers!
plenty of good places to eat, drink and party... class place... kind of like an English Edinburgh

Lived there for two years but that was 6 years ago, dunno if the places i frequented are still decent.

My favourite haunts:
Mr Wolfes
Thekla
The Hatchett
Arc
The Coronation Tap

Up the Gloucester Road there is lots of student bars, also Stokes Croft, the waterfront area is all the chain bars and clubs like Oceania

Any techno/house clubs worth hitting in Bristol this weekend? Mostly drum and bass is what the search online yields

show us yer bristol cities, love!

I've been to Bristol a few times, the centre's is pretty nice now. People often compare it to Liverpool as it was a heavily industrial place which has seen been largely modernised and redeveloped but still retains a lot of its original character. Lots of good craic to be had there too
