Where's good in Belfast for a suit? We're talking something that aint too pricey, none of your silly expensive shit. Just a decent suit at a good price.

Tk maxx
M&s

Picked a decent one up for work in SD KElls on Bedford street, it had stuff from around £100 - way more. They were easy to do a bit of bartering with, worth a nosey.

0 |

I seen a nice Calvin Klein and Ben Sherman suit in Tk maxx few days ago

0 |

I bought a cracking CK suit for 180 quid the other day. In america though. I would go and try on CK suits in a shop to get your size and then get one online.

0 |

I need it for next week though. Is there much of a range in TK Maxx? Never looked at suits in there before.

0 |

Poor range of sizes. But u could be lucky

0 |

What size are you? I was at the one in abbeycentre and they couple from 40-44

0 |

Don't get a Ben Sherman suit. They're shite.

0 |

I had one and it didn't last a crack.

0 |

Any time I've suit hunted they have had a reasonable sized jacket and odd sized trousers, 40/42 jacket size. Depends what u like too, if have bought one or 2 there over the years, but looked loads. Bought a few from marksys, better depth of sizes and options.

0 |

I'm going to a wedding next month and I have three suits I've worn maybe twice each but i want something more slick and modern

Raged I have to buy another suit, I hate buying them as I never wear them. Waste of money for me sadly

0 |

Not even sure on the size mate, will have to check one of my old suits. In fairness the old trousers don't fit any more so might be better getting fitted somewhere posh and then split to TK Maxx

0 |

Pikey it. Buy it, wear it return it. Bam!

If u don't wear one regularly it would be a sting indeed

0 |

I always buy the suit and end up wearing the trousers to work and wrecking them.

0 |

have 2 boss suits, do the job, dunno if id buy one again thou. last one i got is a great cut, perfect fit

got a decent suit from north in the past but 2nd time wearing it at a wedding my fucking car keys went through the pocket

really regret not picking up a PS one from the bureau when they had the sale on

0 |

sweet enola gay at this thread.

tracksuit or boiler suit, or get 200 quid together for the sales or 300 odd if you miss the sales.

You have the choice between dressing like a grown up or not.

0 |

Except waxy.

An oasis in a sartorial desert.

triple post, apologies, but

0 |

You see I wear a suit maybe once a year, twice at most and when you have child and bills something you wear once a year tends to come last in my budget hence my stance on not spending over 150.

There is some people in my work in same position as me that wear suits each day but they are nobs and stick out. If I move up the ladder I shall swear a suit and spend more on it as I do like wearing one for the right occasion

0 |

waxlyricals so ghetto the only time he wears a suit is to court

0 |

if your looking super cheap im guessing matalan have some and its half price at the mo

got two quality suits from weddings this year so thats me suited free for a few years :)

0 |

150s the minimum spend in Belfats and youd be looking at zara, tk maxx, or marks and spencer Id say, for the lads.

There again I dress like cockney chimney sweep and have a hairdo like a badly waxed fanny, but sure.

0 |

Dont got to matalan, for fuck sake Ive never heard of anything so bad.

I need to look sharp, ergo I need 80 quid polyester designed by as man from Burnley

0 |

wouldnt say they be the best but if its for a wedding or drinking occassion i'm guessing it could do the job and save some pennies

0 |

It took a lot for me to keep reading that link macro after they said 'if you are a creative type who dresses up because he likes to'

Someone who refers to themselves as a creative type that dresses up because he likes to sounds like a grade a cunt rag but I shall read on :)

Grade a cunt rag

0 |

see u fairly shifted across the saintfield road at commons brae when u seen me comin the other day marco! haha

0 |

buying suits in Matalan? i235.photobucket.com/a...

0 |

granted the car was all over the fucking show

0 |

ha, think i commented on a suit looking well one night to be told it was from matalan, must be my taste ;)

surely theres not too much difference in suits from the likes of next, topman and river island to matalan. Same materials and likely to be made in same working conditions

Aye because you and one of your floozies were on the death valley rally by the look of things

0 |

you know a suit's quality by how shiny it is, some of those burton suits look awful, walk in a lighted room and you blind people

0 |

Unfortunately this is the mass attitude to buying a suit this days.

People by and large want to spend under £100, which is utterly laughable, but its the mentality.

Perhaps theyll splash out to 200 for a wedding.

Some genuinely think you can do well for that price.

But there is no point in attempting to sway people or enlighten them.

You get what you pay for, and people apply this to cars, houses, meals, but not suits.

0 |

Can anyone suggest a good place then? Or are we all just going to sleg off matalan/ tk maxx. I don't mind spending a bit but seeing as you people normally link up £300 shoes I suspected you might start linking £1000 suits

0 |

TM Lewin in Victoria Square, also House of Frazer

0 |

tk maxx is the best, go with £170 in your pocket and hit a few of them. £150 can get you something really good.

If you have time Ill measure you up at some point and give you some pointers fella.

0 |

i bought a nice slim fitting grey suit from M&S a few years ago. 200 noop
needless to say i was beating them off with a stick.

0 |

There is always the possibility that the Bureau will have something on sale, so hit there first. Failing that House of Fraser, H&M and Topman in that order should get you something grand for very little.

I miss wearing suits.

0 |

Obv on matters of the cloth MTB's word is gospel. Just never saw a suit in TK Maxx that fitted me.

0 |

I'm literally on the way out the door now Marco. Need to get a swanky new hair cut as well I think.

0 |

We'll wait and see.

If he comes back with something from Bogart or Topman Im throwing myself through the nearest window

True Micalev, you can only get what fits you, but they have the best at the power end of prices.

And not TM Lewin either. Thyre shirt makers who turned to mass manufactured shirt sellers who decided to start with suits in 04. You could do worse like but nexts factorys Id trust more.

0 |

I got one in SD Kells in the end. Navy number. Not sure on the brand. Has "Red" in it. Navy, 2 buttons, relatively thin lapels and slim fitting without being too much like a creative type who dresses up because he likes to. Got an aul light blue shirt and a blue tie as well. £260 all in. Just need the 38" trousers let out a bit :(

Realised I have a nice wee Baumler number in the cupboard but the trousers are a bit tight on it too. Going to have to hit a healthy streak soon. Have been shovelling all sorts of food into us since the woman got pregnant. I'm just trying to make her feel more comfortable with her new bump.

thats a really helpful GQ link MTB well in

by the way whats your opinions on three piece suits for work?

0 |

Our Paul Smith sale will be starting this week in store. Straight down to 50% as it is our last season with them.

0 |

Mayb slip in this wk syruppy lad, still a few suits left?

0 |

Syrup - what price range after the 50%?

Gherkin RE the extra pounds, I heat ya. I have a cracking D+G black slim fit martini suit. Cost a quite a wedge, got married in it, only had two other wears of it. Need to free that bad boy
