Awesome telly! :¬D Think my fave bit so far is about jeremy hunt, skulking about the trees outside a news corp meeting, dodging getting seen.

Aye.

Rat! Gordon Brown sinking the boot in aswell. Not a big fan of any of them but if it damages the tories and news corp, then all good.

Thing that gets me is that most people knew Murdoch/NI were bad news and too close to policitians before all this carry on, and any dissent was scoffed at as conspiracy/left wing nutjob paranoia. Now media types and politicians of all hue are queuing up to put the boot in, knowing they have saftey in numbers. These disgusting sheep were very quiet before Milly Dowlers phone was hacked, then they all jumped on the bandwagon

They were all shit scared of Murdoch. His power over the British print media and therefore public opinion is insane.

Most people couldn't tell you half the papers he owns and of course he wouldn't use his cash and media empire to push his own political agenda, course not.

I always thought he ruled the world. Seriously

0 |

No, that's whoever the fuck it is owns the IMF/Fed Reserve.

0 |

You mean the US government, playford?

0 |

like fuck is it Pavlov, It looks like its a government org but reality is its a made up of privately owned banks.

The members of the Board of Governors, including its chairman and vice-chairman, are chosen by the President and confirmed by the Senate.....

The U.S. Government receives all of the system's annual profits, after a statutory dividend of 6% on member banks' capital investment is paid, and an account surplus is maintained. In 2010, the Federal Reserve made a profit of $82 billion and transferred $79 billion to the U.S. Treasury.[21] This was followed at the end of 2011 with a transfer of $77 billion in profits to the U.S. Treasury Department.[22]...

Unless you want to get all tin foil about it

Ownership and control are two different things. Member banks receive 6% dividend, and commerical banks moust make up at least 1/3 of the membership of the Fed

The US government have a very powerful position inthe IMF but the bankers and multinational corporations make them play ball through lobbying, funding and lord knows what else. Business party rules.

agreed

Although I still believe Murdoch ruled the world. You rule the mob you rule the world.

Not sure if your joking here or not........... but he certainly didn't rule in china when he tried to break into their news market. Lasted two years before pulling out with his tail between his legs. In the US he has many powerful enemies and i'd say it's there he's most worried about. He may hope that they don't pull up a shed of similar eveidence of hacking over there. Will be crucified.

Teach him to fuck with Max Mosley for sure.

I should have said western world, just my wee theory

0 |

He's powerful but in big trouble. I'm praying for evidence of foul play in the US. Will make the leveson enquiry look like playschool.

0 |

Too right he is and i am revelling in this, i dont expect him to live thru this. U cant rule the world when uve been exposed to the mob

If there is enough evidence of illegality here... Police bribery and corruption then maybe it will allow Obama to take him on if he gets re-elected.... here's hoping Kev?

0 |

Always playing devil's advocate, aren't we? I'd rather Obama to Romney but that is similar to me saying that i'd prefer the flu over aids. It would take evidence of similar phone hacking and the like, i'd say and no one could ignore it. Obama is no saint against big business.

It would be interesting to see the right wing commentators and bloggers mental wrangling to justify a foreign national tapping the phones and bribing US officials

The liberal left has been shown to be as spineless and narrow as the Tories after Blair/Brown.

All this talk of a Third Way was cover for cosying up to corporate Britain. Hard to distinguish what the difference is between them and the tories these days, as hard as they try to show us.
