It was crap.

the rice cooker i bought last year has transformed meals in our house. it does rice cooking, steaming, porridge and slow cooking.

a great purchase :)

0 |

A Centra Soft Brown Roll with southern fried chicken BBQ sauce and some lettuce does the job

0 |

I've done a tagine which wa good and a lamb and lentil thing which was bogging. Check out cara hobbdays books, some really good recipes although some require a bit of browning etc of meat upfront

0 |

yes, you have to seal the meat before you slow cook it. its the same with chicken. having something like this really frees up the day if you have other things going on and its nice to sit down to a great tasting meal!

the tagine is the one im thinking of, it sounds great. i'll look into getting that book!

0 |

Marsky's are doing a small 6 piece sushi tray for 1 quid. Not enough for a lunch in itself but a healthy bolt on or quick snack instead of your crips

0 |

Thankfully this chicken is whole roasted by itself do no need to seal although it might look a bit strange with clear skin after cooking. I'll ignore that though. Her books are normally a fiver or so and have about 100 recipes.

0 |

how much sushi is a normal meal? I shared about 12 pieces last night for dinner and it was probably enough.

0 |

i'd the soup i made yesterday. simple, spicy, quick and delicious.

roasted some cumin seeds and chili flakes in a dry pan. chucked in carrots, celery, lentils, onion, coconut oil, stock, salt n pepper... boiled. simmered. blitzed. enjoyed.

0 |

oddly found that slow cookers don't seem to do as good a job as a lecrueset cast iron pot for casseroles etc.

0 |

The word back on the chicken is very positive. Juicy, well flavoured and surprisingly well browned.

4 PJ's out of 5.
