Why the sale lawd?

I dont use them. I keep my decks at a mates house and use them there and tbh I could do with the cash. They are sold now anyway :)

That didn't take long!! I'll throw in a tip top and a wispa on top of whatever the other fella is offering!!

anyone own krk 5 series g1? they any good? worth 200??

Would go for the RP6's (8's if your space/budget can stretch). Don't go down low enough to accurately hear the low end, maxing out @ 52Hz

Got the KRK RP6 Rokit G2 monitors and love them. Sound is incredible out of them and will be an investment for years ahead.

have haggled down to 160 for the pair, budget is tight enough tbf. what you think?

i have the alesis mark IIs atm, & thought these would be a n upgrade from them

Have never used the Alesis', but the general consensus is that the Rockit series are great entry level monitors.

Depends on the room size too. The 5s might be ok for a smaller room. Are you going to be blasting the music through them? Or just used as a reference at low levels?

prob blasting the music tbf

Decent price but is it worth saving (50-60quid) now and having to upgrade to something bigger / adding a sub in a few years?

Would go with 8" monitors over 5" / 6" and a sub. Tricky getting the sub balanced for production, unless your room has been treated and you know your monitors inside out.

Most subs come with a bypass pedal so you can clock it on and off when monitoring, which is handy. Housemate has RP8's and they seem sweet, no complaints from him. I went for the Mackie Mr.8's instead, prefer the silk dome tweeter and the paper cones. Nicer sound from them imo, less harsh....then went ahead and added a 10" sub down the line (great having the whole range of human hearing available to work with)
